Stop this right now, Obama. You’re playing with the civil liberties of minors which must also be considered. Did you know that if you don’t attend school when you are legally required to, you’re taken away from your family? Public schooling should not be forced upon us at any age; this is especially so when someone is so near to being a voting adult.
I think Obama just wants there to be less deadbeats out there, and more educated citizens. Honestly, think about all the high school drop outs you know. What are they doing? Sure, some might be making it. I’m pretty sure the vast majority, though, aren’t. It’s a lot harder to get a job without a a college degree, and even harder without a high school diploma or GED.
While his methods/thoughts on a solution may not be popular with everyone, I see what he’s trying to do.
